The Pirate Commander is a rare pirate found on battlemaster settlement islands, usually close to a pirate village. Pirate Commanders are often seen to attack the player with more frequent attacks than other pirate battlemasters, which makes them one of the most dangerous pirates to encounter.
If all the 4 pirate bosses have yet to be slain, then there is a chance that either a Pirate Commander or a Boss will spawn, never both.
They are easily recognizable by their blue tunic and drops the commander equipment, which increases strength.
